Floyd Rose Re-stringing: What are you tricks?

I have a trem stop installed in the cavity of my Loomis. Restringing is like any other fixed bridge. If I feel the need for droppin' da bombs I can just slacken the screw off the plate. When I didn't have the trem stop, I randomly used one of these...

    Vi-Elements Core Kit - anyone have/using it?

I mentioned Mixosaurus on another thread, did this company buy them out? Haven't seen detail like this since Mixo..

    COOL DRUM SAMPLES TO BUY?

From a drummer's perspective, nothing comes close to Mixosaurus. If this project were to have continued (bought out by some other company that saw its massive potential and pretty much canned it ??TBD??) It's HUGE in size and realism. If you're just looking for samples, well yeah, all of the...

    Looking for some pickup advice.

Hmmm, never even thought of doing that. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm gonna have to try that out.

    Looking for some pickup advice.

That's the one thing that I dislike/d about the 707's and the Blackout I had is that mid spike that makes it sound almost single coil. I'm definitely swaying to that Pegasus option. I purchased a tremolo stop that's on its way, and ordered some heavier gauge strings to try and tighten things...

    Looking for some pickup advice.

Indecisiveness, It's what keeps the world turning. Thanks for the input.. It just adds a +1 to getting some custom pickup rings made because there's a whole lotta options out there that I hadn't looked in to.

    Looking for some pickup advice.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Dimarzio has always been my first choice, especially the D-Sonic I have in my strat. This 707 route is a curse. I should probably just go for the custom pickup rings from fretsonthenet and then my problem would be solved.. Much more options that way. From doing all of...

    Looking for some pickup advice.

Hey, I've been wracking my brains as of late on which pickups I should buy. I bought an original Loomis 7 FR back in the day with 707's and replaced the bridge with a SD Blackout, I liked it, but always found myself playing my strat with a passive in it while my Loomis sat in the corner. Was at...

    EzDrummer post-rock

Crossing my fingers for that. I've been using the Colin Richardson EZX since it came out and it's working great. Only problem I find is the toms aren't all that great when triggering with my Roland kit. But that's the EZX part of this, reason why it's not 20GB+. :P

    EzDrummer post-rock

Yeah, no. The closest thing that's came out in the past while that sounds like it could have been promising, if it were developed more, was the Sphere Studio samples.. The Black Beauty sample wasn't all that great, but the kick and the toms were amazing. You can hear the head and the shell...

Right angle vs straight TS cables

I always use a right angle plug when plugging in to my Mark V, it kinda gets in the way of the switches for channel 1, but I can always leave it connected when I put the cover over my amp, and i'd hate to damage my baby. Seems like such a pointless conversation when you think about it. :P

    EzDrummer post-rock

I say, Shite. I really wish they would start approaching artists to make libraries. I would love to see a Mike Portnoy library or a Danny Carey library.. Something interesting from top drummers that have a great sounding kit, not these studios that think they know what we want but it all turns...

    Allround Guitar for Recording

I have a Mexi Strat with a D-Sonic in the bridge, rosewood fretboard.. I choose it every time over my Schecter Loomis. :P All about what you're looking for.. A Strat with a humbucker is pretty damn versatile.

    Ribbon or Condenser?

I'm looking towards the same purchase myself. I've been debating on either picking up a Sennheiser MD421, or looking in to getting a ribbon mic. I've read a lot of positive things about the Fat Head series from Cascade. http://www.cascademicrophones.com/menu_pages/microphones.html Here's...
