Yes. Pickups deliver about 75% of the sound. So even a cheap guitar can sound awesome with the right pickups

I´d go with the revalver 4 - load up a 6505+ and try some of classic settings (you can find tons of cool settings online, e.g.: chimaira, machine head etc.) and then just tweak from there until you found the tone your looking for.

I usually run one amp for both 100%L/R tracks and a different one for the 75% panned tracks. My recommendation would be a 6505 for the 100% to get that fat sound and a Mesa DR for the 75% for the wideness.

I´m more of a noob than a pro aswell but if it sounds too thin then add a good amount of mids on your amp sim and if you want a big sound try quadtracking with 2 tracks panned hard left/hard right and 2 tracks panned 75% L and 75% R - that helps to make that "wall" appear.

Thats actually fantastic to know, thank you! But those DI´s are basically just my "backup" so If I had to reamp I would re-amp with my kemper anyway but it´s great to know nonetheless!

Hi there, first of all - if this question has been asked already I´m quite sorry for opening a new thread but I just didn´t find anything :( Anyhow: I want to record a dry and wet guitar track (with my kemper) and figured I´d do that via S/PDIF since I´ve heard that would deliver the best...

PR20 sounds a bit "thicker" to my ears. But overall both sound fantastic!

Yeah I heard that already (thanks though :) ) and I´m pretty sure I´ll have to get one sooner or later. But what I meant was more in the sense of a rig pack like he did already.
