I am looking forward to both albums plain and simple. I think that the mellow one will perhaps attract them more attention from more main stream areas (which could end up being horrid to have everyone raving about how wonderful this 'new' music is. Oi!) however I really hope that doesn't happen...

I have to say that both my parents really enjoy the more melodic sounds of Opeth, 'To Bid You Farewell' is one that I played for them first and recently my dad commented on how wonderful 'Harvest' was as well... But they both dislike the growl -- as does my SO. Which is a pity 'cause I enjoy...
