Please crit original Symphonic Death Metal mix

Thanks for the advice. This is the type of crit I like to see :) I hear what you are saying about the kick drum. I like low end heavy mixes and was going for a more Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia type of mix. But I guess the kick is getting a little boomy in parts and the low...

Please crit original Symphonic Death Metal mix

Hi Guys, I am finalizing our symphonic death metal album. No matter what I do I am never satisfied with my mixes and always try to improve the "Previous" mix. The result...it never gets done. Please crit my mix. Below are 2 versions, which sound better to your ears and what can I do to improve...

TonePort UX8 extreme hum on outputs for re-amping.

I realise that :) But for now I have to live with it. I know that I need a re-amp box but it's pointless getting one if I can't re-amp in the first place. I am almost 100% sure that even with a re-amp box the extreme hum or hiss will still be there. Or would the re-amp box take it away...

TonePort UX8 extreme hum on outputs for re-amping.

Hi Guys, I have posted on the Line 6 forum as well. Maybe someone here has experienced this before. I tried to re-amp using a real amp and my tone port UX8 with no success. All outputs from 3 to 8 (1 and 2 is for my monitors) produces extreme hum or "SHHHHHHHHHHHH" sound when plugging it...

Original Symphonic Tech/Death metal song. Fresh ears needed before final CD cut.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Much appreciated. Will work on these points. I am trying to achieve the same Huge orchestra as Dimmu Borgir.

Original Symphonic Tech/Death metal song. Fresh ears needed before final CD cut.

Hi Guys, It's been a while since I have posted here. I need some help in deciding if this mix is the absolute best it can be and if not what I can do to fix anything. My ears are shot from listening and making fixes to this song for the past week or so. Do you have any suggestions on...

    PRO Custom Drums now online!!

Wow, these are sounding really great!!! Are those processed using the presets included only? Also, are there only processed samples or Raw and processed? Man, I remember a few years back you shared a whole bunch of awesome snare samples. I still use them on some of my projects today. Were...

Converting Drums Takes To Midi Problems.

Hey man, What do you mean? The cymbal triggering or on tom triggering? Does trigger have midi out/printing capabilities? HERE's the new thread with examples though: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/f-o-h/933904-real-drums-overheads-test.html

    Real Drums (Overheads Test)

This was actually what I was trying to say. Also bare in mind that this was just a rough test. I actually properly mixed it now and it wins hands down to the original overheads. In this instance the real overheads adds fullness as Superior drummers overheads are very thin sounding.
