We need a thread with bands that play a mixture of any kind of metal with another kind of music. For example Lets get some links and opinions going.

Pantera defined heavy metal. Black sabbath and judas priest made metal, not "heavy" metal.

I liked it alot. Not very often I find long metal songs with acoustic guitars in them. I give it 8/10.

Alcest- Sur L'ocean couluer de fer is a very sad song. Can defintely rock the emotions of many. I love alcest for they bring a whole new look to shoegaze and relaxing music. While most of thier songs have a cool depressing black metal vibe to it.

There are many bands that are djent. But alot of people confuse deathcore to be djent when they have thier guitar tuned for the djent sound. They are not djent. They are deathcore. True djent bands are bands like Vildhjarta, meshuggah,and alot of underground bands. It is more of an aquired...
