Introduction to the MOONLESS-Project - come in and watch =)

In case you might be interested I joined Kompoz.com and we are severely lacking good metal drummer and overall extreme music dudes. In case you want to check it out, maybe we can even do a collaboration together.

Bruce Dickinson a better singer in 1986 or 2016?

We will have to concede that fact that back in the 80s he was a cunning linguist :)

Report: OZZY And SHARON OSBOURNE Split After 33 Years Of Marriage

Poor guy...maybe he'd finally be able to retire. She worked him like a horse after he said he was retiring in '91, I remember the "No More Tours" tour. Then 3 years later he was back on the road.

    Peavey 6505+ Effects Loop Hum

I've read somewhere that there is a quick soldering fix to this (a mod if you will) which makes the loop closer to the US made amplifier. Might be worth checking online. I'd say strip down to bare guitar->cable->amp and see how the noise handling is then and start adding the effects one by one...

Whats your thoughts on Electric drum kits....

I got the Alesis DM8 Pro with real drum heads: http://www.alesis.com/products/legacy/dm8-pro-kit It feels the closest in the sub $1000 category to the real thing but you have to get used to the quirks of not playing a live kit. It is great for programming and you can fix your midi performance...

    Drum machine for METAL project/band?

Considering that I've been through this the only drum machines that will work with the complexity of metal are the series of Boss: Dr. Rhythm 660, 770 and 880 I got the 880 as it is the most versatile and you don't have to daisy chain songs when you have meter/tempo changes. The 770 is pretty...

    \m/ Thrash Metal Discussion \m/

To me the definition of thrash is Whiplash "Power and Pain" A lot of other bands have maybe even made better albums but for some reason this one sticks. Maybe it was the unconventional riff writing and delivery that keeps me interested past other albums like "Reign in Blood" and "Pleasure to...

ANGUS YOUNG Denies BRIAN JOHNSON Was Fired From AC/DC

Interesting how they're backtracking now when fans are getting refunds en masse, they were OK with Brian staying under the bus where they threw him until now...I think one of their tunes said it best: "Money Talks".

UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER Would Have Considered Stepping In For BRIAN JOHNSON In AC/DC

They AC/DC camp are thinking about the huge personae of Axl and how that will add to the draw. I think Udo would've been a better choice, but Tornillo, his replacement in Accept, would've been an even better choice for the AC/DC spot. Horrible how they threw Brian under the bus...

Bruce Dickinson a better singer in 1986 or 2016?

Don't forget that technology and autotune racks have improved much since 1986 :) Not to take away anything from the man as he is probably up there with the likes of Ian Gillan and Dio when it comes to metal singers. As far as I am concerned it is 1986 though... Personally I was more of a DiAnno...
