Same here. First listen of their new(est) album, I didnt really like it at all. I came back to it a month ago and I was like "damn, this shits heavy!" haha. And agreed that DS has never really been about the vocals. But for the record, I love AJ's vocals.

Whats the deal with you guys bitching about "sterile" production? Theres some bands who have good production, and others who have crunchy production. Theyre both different sounds, and both are great for what they accomplish. Vomit The Soul's newest release may have had "sterile" production, but...

Listening to it now. Im only halfway throught (not at the Babykiller cover yet) but its not half bad to me. The slams are decent. Agreed that the transitions could use some work though.

I wouldnt consider that Cesspool Of Vermin album to be essential tbh. Ingested was one of the bands that got me into slam though, so keep that in there. Same with Human Rejection, Abominable Putridity, and Vomit The Soul. Speaking of Vomit The Soul, not sure if their latest is on the list. If it...

The production wasnt bad... The drums sounded a little hollow, but thats it. And I havent heard their first album tbh.
