The mellotron was brought to my attention by Per's work on the song "Burning Bridges" by Arch Enemy. I find everything he does with the keyboard / mellotron to be nothing but gorgeous. If his samples' are "shitty", can anyone help me out by comparing his "shitty" samples with a true sample?

Also, I gotta ask. Maybe Mike can help out, since he's in the business... Do bands have to push the record label to put their stuff out on vinyl?

One thing I've noticed is those "Limited Edition" color vinyls some bands put out. I think that's pretty cool, along with those picture discs. I went to Rasputin Music here in the bay area with my friends, and a lot who've never bought a LP in their life thought how much cooler the album artwork...

This is it exactly. When the clean electric comes in, it's all good from there, but the way Mike sings it isn't exactly my favorite moment. Not bad, I just wish it was used in some other song. :)

It's one thing to shout out a song you'd wish Opeth would play, but to scream, "Mikael! Show me your tits!" is another thing. It happened at the San Francisco gig... Stupid shit like this is what we should complain about.

By The Pain I See In Others is a kickass song, so much that I find it MUCH better than Bleak and Demon Of The Fall, which are what a lot of Opeth fans love. I'm not saying those songs suck. They kick ass, I'm just saying, I find B.T.P.I.S.I.O. is a better song, in my opinion.
