Nice thread guys, I wish I was in a position to be part of a black metal band (guitar or drums). I've recently bought a house with a huge basement for my recording and jam space, but I've still not met anybody at all from this area who's even heard of black metal, much less interested in playing...

Ancient's older stuff is better; get the "The Cainian Chronicle" if you can find it. I hear they plan to try to tour the US with the "Night Visit" album, that could be a good thing if they bring some other Norwegian acts with them.

short answer: with frequency (same as hertz or hz), lower numbers are bass, higher numbers are treble. with this in mind, a little experimentation with the dials and the resulting sound should 'learn' you enough to make a mix of whatever you're mixing.. -iz
