Is there a chance the plug-in you use for the phase reverse will make a slight delay? I mean, in ProTools, TDM plug-ins will cause a slight delay on 4-6 samples (a plug-in that has phase reverse and is not DSP heavy). If you only have that on 1 of the tracks, you'll be having even more problems...

It can do miracles. I've recorded three albums with guitarists that uses it: Communic (both albums) and Volbeat. Both 362's. Personally, I wouldn't use it in my rig. Hate the thought about running great tube sound thru a bunch of plastic and IC's, but it worked for the aforementioned bands...

I believe I used MESA dual Recto on 2 of the 4 guitartracks, the rest was Engl. Not too bad. Just a tad too bright and aggressive to my taste.

I would avoid Engl. They wont cut it, I think. Framus is indeed special. But why not a Krank?

The Framus Cobra is on the latest Maroon album. I hope that's a compliment to the amp! :) It sounds really good!

Bleed is no prob. You just automate the track. Take the volume down when the ride is not being played, if you don't like the bleed.

I just did an album with TYR (Napalm Records), who brought 2 Triple Recto heads, and comparable with my Dual Recto, their heads were much more bright - close to annoying. They had this sizzle (kazoo?) to their tone, that I couldn't get rid of. It was very pronounced on the Modern setting, which...

In protools it goes like this: From the recorded transducer signal track, you send out a buss (say buss 1 for tom1). You put your gate on the original tom track and assign the gate's key input to buss 1. Then the gate should open once it "hears" the signal from the transducer track. You...

Yes, keep the lead as a single track. When the harmony enters, drop both volumes with what you prefer. I always have the harmony 2-3dBs lower. If you want to give it some stereo effect, make sure you use a stereo delay. Maybe even add chorus to the delays. Sounds sweet.
