that's a snare drum made by Spaun Drum Company. probably 5.5 x 14

this rules.

if you want to get a good drum sound out of virtual drum instruments you will need to bounce each track out into your DAW and process them separately. i find that i need tons of corrective EQ with superior. using the ambient mics also helps to make things sound really big and real.

you couldn't be more wrong... this is how Navene tracked the drums: he used his real drum set. had mics for overheads. he had triggers on each of his drums. each trigger ran into an Alesis DM5. he then ran a midi cable from the DM5 into his interface. he ran the midi signal through...
