Tons of reasons for this, but... if you've got stuff for the zine, send it. One of the reasons three issues got produced in the last half of 06 was that you and Burns were fully participating and lighting a fire under my butt with your own work...

Yes. As far as when it will be done... can't say now. I've got a couple of other paying projects to get out the door first, and by then I should have a good clutch of review and interview fodder for the zine.

I enjoy going to crusty punk shows more than metal shows. No light shows, no smoke machines, no goofy "leave the stage then come back" encore ritual, no backing tapes, no stage costumes... no pretentiousness at all. Just bands and music. The problem is half the bands can't play to save their...

More later, but my first impression is that it seems to me that the more serious metalheads in the US have envied the Europeans (and South Americans) who are so purely (naively?) into the music. The lack of irony in it creates some communication snafus but the idea that you can take this...

This has not been my experience. Or should I say, I do find that most people are an active drain on me emotionally and physically, so the richness and many facets of those people are just negative influences. There are of course exceptions, but the feeling I get when dealing with certain works...

People in the US might have a hard time believing this... but over here (and in many places), Nightwish are ridiculously popular. It's... scary. I have no problem believing the 800,000 number as a worldwide sales figure for a single album. Also, when the first video came out for Dark Passion...
