Melodic/symphonic/post-rockish metal (Vocals, live drums, KPA, AxeII)

Cheers! I've also noticed some parts that are a little pitchy, I think I did three takes of the whole song and the guys liked the last one so we basically took the whole thing as it was and just melodyne'd a few words by hand. We could have given it another pass and corrected a few more words...

Hey all  This is my band Mark Zero's latest song, called "All that I loved was the enemy". It's about realizing all the fortunes and achievements you work your ass off to get to are actually the things keeping you from living a happy life. :) I'm the singer and rhythm guitarist btw...

Modern hard rock mix (Vocals, Kemper & Axe-Fx, Live Drums)

Cheers! That was a production choice, we had a really hard time getting my "good" rock vocal approach to feel right with the lyrics of the song. It just sounded like bland radio rock with no sharp edges left. So after doing a bunch of takes that were as good as I could possibly get them...

Modern hard rock mix (Vocals, Kemper & Axe-Fx, Live Drums)

Thanks! Haha yeah fair enough, different strokes :) I've been playing a 7 for the last 10 years though, so I can't speak for current trends  Awesome, thanks! :) I actually think B and C sounds better than A which we're tuned to, but I always end up writing songs where B is just above...

Modern hard rock mix (Vocals, Kemper & Axe-Fx, Live Drums)

Hey all! :) Working on this mix for my band Mark Zero. Need some input on how to take it further, as it's been going back and forth between me and my co-guitarist (and co-mixer) Scott for way too long now! :goggly: Appreciate your thoughts! :) For those interested, here's the...

    SevenString.org Bullshittery.

Feathers were just ruffled, that's about it. JJ was personally insulted, who can blame him for responding? And he did it with a simple joke at that, not throwing around insults or cursing or being the typical internet tough-guy... and after all, this is the off-topic section, the place to go...

    SevenString.org Bullshittery.

Bleh... like I said, I didn't come into this thread to insult anyone, nor this forum in general, and as such I agree with Dalinkwent to an extent. A few people were stirring shit on here and now a few people are coming from SS.org stirring more of the same shit, it's counterproductive. People...

    SevenString.org Bullshittery.

I probably will, I'm just voicing an opinion here for now. I'm not here to insult this forum nor make generalizations about its members, as many of you are. In fact, even some dudes posting in this thread seem to have a cool attitude. I just find the thread a bit unwarranted. Btw, JJ...

    SevenString.org Bullshittery.

I'm a member of SS.org, I don't play djent (I even quit my metal band in favour of session work), and although there are definately some simple-minded teenagers there, I think for the most part the people are really cool. The knowledgeable people are usually helpful, and the less knowledgeable...

    Melodic Rock/Metal mix (Axe-Fx)

Hey! First of all I want to say I'm new here, my name is John and I play in a band called Rhinestone :) I mostly hang at Sevenstring.org but I hear a lot of good things about this forum, and I've heard a lot of sweet mixes here so I figured I should sign up and learn a thing or two! Anyway...
