No kidding? It's got to be my monitors, they aren't at the sweet spot, they hit me in the chest, that must be the problem! I guess I adjust some more

I wrote this today, and tried mixing it. I'm not super satisfied... It's not awful but I feel as though the low end isn't tight enough, or something... Maybe some one with more experience can tell me what they can hear needs to change (bass fx chain, kick fx chain, guitar) I mean whatever...

Yeah, although I do think the guitar tone could be better. The drums on the other hand are the Chango Samples, and I didn't use anything but Gclip on them. So there's not much I can with that. I mostly wanted to experiment. They're kind of over the top, yes.

I just started messing around with snare 12a. Mostly only used snare 20 mixed with snare 15 prior In any case, I figure a good starting place is to get it to sound like some of Joey's and tweak it to my taste from there. My all time favorite Snare 12a sound is from this (Listen to the intro)...

It sounds to me like poor miking. I don't have ton of experience miking live amps but I do have some. try and silence the room somehow. Best of luck!
