Which potmeter do you use? The one that came with the EMG?? Or the original? If you use the original, you should change it. It usually pays to only use active PU`s in the same guitar:)

Same here. Black with maple neck and board. I believe I read that it was Ibanez(Hoshino gakki group) that owned Cimar. Not sure, however...:)

Evergrey used a VS cross-tracked with a Digitech 2112 for their latest album(it came 2001). They have a pretty good sound, but like xeno said. It is recorded in a pro studio, and that is really the big difference.

I agree! Rhythm playing on the neck pickup sounds like arse, no matter how good the PU is:) For leads it is nice, but I`m sure you can get a very nice lead sound from EMG singles. Remember, you do NOT want to play rhythm with the neck PU. It is not defined enough. IMO, of course, but I`ve...
