katatonia played yesterday (friday) were we got no rain, for the first time in a whole week. they played in a tent, so the rain wouldn't have mattered anyway. katatonia (once again again again!!!!!!!!!!!) had really bad sound, which affected the crowd, that wasn't into it at all. jonas vocals...

this is great news! i've been waiting for many years to see them play at roskilde (and this year i'm not away on some long holiday) :rock: :rock: :rock:

I wondered about that as well, but i thought it was quite cool actually. A bit unusual, but in a good way. This was my 4th time seeing Katatonia and by far the best. On the other three occasions Jonas vocals has been quite poor, but last night he (finally) proved that he could pull it off live...

I'm also disappointed with the album. Maynards vocal is missing something and on the whole there's not enough heavy rock (like the very ending of vicarious for example). Doesn't bring anything new to the world.

Well i like your band and the music very much, so i still enjoy the concert nevertheless. And the atmosphere! But ain't i entitled to give my 5 cents about how i feel, or is this board solely for the purpose of praising the band? Anyway, my opinion is based on the experience of the last 3...

don't you get what i just said? i've seen them 3 or 4 times - i don't think it's a coincidence!!! in fact i know it's not :yell:

i think katatonia is a rather poor live band. the sound/vocals are weak and i've been disappointed all the times i've seen them (3 or 4). I still like the band very much and would go see them any time of course, but still they let me down live. On record they're fantastic!
