When using parallel compression do you use multiband compressors or regular, single band compressors? I've also noticed that you like to add few dB at 10 Khz. Why? I usually cut everything above, 8-9 khz cause there is no sound only hum and noise there. Any comments?

If you're going to quad track then you should consider lowering the gain cause in the mix the guitars will sound more distorted.

Lower the gain and bring the mic closer to the membrane but further from the cone

Use a MB compressor or some parametric EQ like q10. And yes the palm mutes are too boomy but it's easy to fix that. ;)
