IRs and EQ. Take a bit of screwing around to get good distorted sounds from sims. One thing that caught me out once, I was using a speaker lead rather than an instrument lead, sounded a bit like what you posted.

I don't think you need armies to have wars. People can't even comment on forums or youtube with out it turning sour (into war if you like). Wars have been and will be almost always a result of greed or religion. On a smaller scale it usually because of egos or lack of controlling emotion.
