I think this pup would work perfectly in a mahogany body / mahogany neck combination. A friend has the Dimebucker, and personally I hated it, it sounded really bad, it was a Dean ML (Don't remember the exact model, but I'm pretty sure it was a ML 79) EDIT: When I say: "This pup" I mean the 500XL

Well the Epi was not bad really, just change the pups as soon as possible and you're set:rock:

Personally I would go with the Epiphone, I tried one a while back and it wasn't that bad at all, but you should change the pickups when you get the chance

Well I use 0.12-0.56 on C#, I think you should use something around the 0.58 area for that low B
