    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

This is not exactly to show the presets, but the Dimarzio Crunch Lab that arrived yesterday and will be removed tonight. The Evo 2 is much better. It should be an improved version of the D Sonic, but it's very thin, dry and trebly for soloing. For powerchords it has tons of definition and crunch.

    Update..........no, really!!

My deepest condolences, man. :( One thing I can guarantee after a few years into astral projection, is that our bodies and consciences are very different things.

That could do the trick, but I did lots of tests last Friday, and long story short, positions 2 and 4 sound great and very useful for clean tones with a DiMarzio True Velvet in the middle. Unlike what I would expect, 2 split humbuckers working together sounded very thin. Thanks for the input! :)

    Update..........no, really!!

Sorry everyone for hikacking this thread with non-related Demonoid issues, but... I personally digged it a lot, but for the first time I decided not to go to a Therion concert because I have no patience  to listen to the old songs anymore. Sun enter the...

Has anyone ever noticed any tone improvements when not having the tone knob in the circuit? I've recently removed the little sucker from my main axe since it was always at 10, but haven't tested it at higher levels yet. :flame:

    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

So the JMP-1 should be here next week after all the wait. I've purchased 2 JJ tubes off Ebay to replace the stock Sovteks. As for the TriAxis, my crunch and clean tones are totally unmodified factory presets with reverb. Now the lead tone is one of the factory presets as well, with 500ms delay...

Looks like an RG1620 Galaky Black to me.

    Update..........no, really!!

Is it me or Unguentum Sabbati is a major, shameless, mercyless and cruel Phantom of the Opera theme ripoff? Or maybe there is a reason for that... The lack of decent solos is clear, but all songs are good IMO. Din could be longer, I really digged that one.

    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

So the TriAxis is back in the house. I was asked for US$330 and a 6-month wait to fix 2 buttons that stop working once in a while. Kris at Mesa said they could fix it for free, but I'm probably selling it to get a(nother) JMP-1. Making the TriAxis sound like Iron Maiden is almost impossible...

    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

Thanks for the update. I can't even imagine what you and Chris have been through after so many recording sessions, tweaking knobs and buttons, adjusting things, testing pedals, EQ's and all that stuff to sound really good and keep all guitars and orchestra instruments peaceful together. Another...

    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

Hey, Kristian! Thanks for the reply! I've been dialing it almost every day lately, but with V30 speakers, keeping the mids above bass and treble makes it sound over the top. I'm not keeping it scooped either, or it would sound empty and I hate that. My crunch and lead presets have mids around...

    Mesa TriAxis - Kristian?

Kristian, I hope you read this, or anyone else with a Mesa/Boogie TriAxis. Do you have any tips for setting up some crunchy and lead tones? You menctioned in the past that your first unit was sold when you were going to Hollywood, and the second one back in Sweden because you couldn't get...
