Just starting working on a bands new album, finished drums a bit early and wanted to throw down a quick easy rhythm that allowed me to kinda test mix and make sure I was happy with the sounds. Kit they brought in was killer. New Aquarian attack heads(?). Ignore the disaster of a live room...
Hey guys! this is a song I had started working on just for fun a few months back. Organized with a few friends and got a bunch of people on board, some very talented musicians to take it to the next level. This is the first times I've recorded live drums with the intention of using as much as is...
I think I'm going to agree with you guys. It does count as sampling because it was samples pull from elsewhere. not the original sound. Granted I didn't have to do a whole lot and it came out pretty good sounding.
Funny, me and Dave came to the same conclusion. Who cares how you got the sound...
Today I was talking with a respected audiophile friend about a track I had recorded drums on. which in the coming weeks will end up in the practice room for mixing practice(WITH REAL DRUMS). Anyhow, he was saying the kick and snare sound like they had some sample blended in.
Now I did not...
If you are a fan of Lamb of God, Chimaira, Machine Head, or any of those American Metal bands you'll love Deadpass. For you gear heads and Audiophiles, this was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by the incredible Dave Otero. He's an absolutely phenomenal producer and really helped us take...
I would say that as of the last year or so, my favorite has been the 2014 darkest hours release. Taylor Larson did an absolutely phenomenal job. It's super fat, super natural feeling, and full of absolute passion. Gives me chills every time.
Thanks man!! Glad to hear that we nailed it. What did ya think of the mix itself? I feel like something still just isn't quite right after spending hours and hours on it....
As far as giving out raws for this, I'm not entirely sure I'd want to do that, just because the guitars are not DI, and...
Had some fun writing this one with the bassist from my band. Wanted to do something radio rock sounding, with out the radio friendlyness. Pretty sure we failed but happy with the result anyhow!

Gimme some feedback please fellas??
Well shit! I didn't know that! All I know was Nolly provided tracks for mixing haha!! Drums sounded pretty... monotonous, but fairly natural so I just assumed either heavily edited or really killer takes. But they are all the given sounds, I didn't replace any drums or mix any samples. Thanks...
Hey fellas. I stumbled upon this gem of tracks! Thanks to the wonderful Nolly for providing everyone with track and shiz.
Jam it! Flame it! Burn that bitch to the ground!
Watcha think people?
All natural sounds no samples no reamps no bullshit.
