Mitch Lucker (Suicide Silence) is dead

I was on the road with Mitch for two to three months for a tour some years back. One of the most genuine guys you could ever meet. Being there the minute when he got the phone call from his girlfriend that he was having a child and finding out earlier this morning that he passed away reminds...

    Axe-FX II Reamps?

Who has some killer tones and willing to do them for a cheap rate? Only have Amp Sims at the moment and they're just not cutting through the mix like when I was using an Axe-FX.

DSLR Cameras and where to buy?

Honestly, if you're in the states then check Craigslist. I snagged a T2i for 600 with a 50mm 1.8, 28-135mm, and 55-250mm. I ended up selling the latter two lenses for 250 each. Ended up just paying for the 50mm lens and getting the camera for free in the end. Never know what you'll find on...

Best deal on an electric kit for running SD2.0?

I use the DM5 Pro at my studio but swapped out the kick pedal and use a Pintech one (30 bucks). It is superb and have no complaints with it. Slight learning curve for drummers but response is great and rebound is definitely good enough. Only 250 bucks. Alesis holds good place in the market...

is anyone programming drums with this

I'd stay far away from the nanoPAD...everyone I know that has used one had glitching and pad failure. It's a cheap solution for standard sample triggering but not actually intensive finger drumming. I actually really liked everything else other than the pads, so not a HORRIBLE piece of...

is anyone programming drums with this

I've used MPC pads for writing drums but I always end up going back to a keyboard. Much more reliable and better feel once you get used to it. Just remap the drum layout to your liking and get started. You may benefit the most from a portable MIDI controller like an Oxygen 25. Here are a few...

The Rhodes Colossus H100 amp sounds like this- (video)

We have a Colossus at our studio and it's seriously the heaviest amp we've ever used! Great natural, full sound but tight as hell. We brought ours down to NAMM and people loved it (actually being used in Ola's Rhodes Demo video). Plus Kyle Rhodes is one hell of a dude too! I believe the...

Death Metal riffing on a MIDI Keyboard (X50, LeCab, Mesa/Framus Impulses)

Testing out a new guitar sample library with my Oxygen 61 keyboard. Using Ableton Live 8 and its bad ass MIDI effects. Using various knobs and sliders on the keyboard to adjust picking variation and chords. Sustain pedal is controlling an open or palm muted sound. Using the X50 amp sim, 808...

A good drum pad for finger drumming?

I've used everything under the sun to trigger my VSTi drum software and still always go back to a keyboard. Check out a few of my videos
