Best way to add a 500 rack to my setup?

Was wanting to jump on the 500 series bandwagon and get a rack and some pre-amps. Thing is right now I have a 2 saffire pro 40 setup. Only way I see of doing it is ditch the pro 40 setup and get a converter to run the outputs to (too much $$ right now) or possibly just run the outs of the 500...

    Recommend me overhead mics

Add on, I like kind of dark focused overheads. I usually roll them off pretty high, but still like to catch some tom action in them. Definitely some snare, so they are overheads and not just 'cymbal' mics. My 'house' kit is a decent gretsch kit with soon to be all zildjian custom A cymbals.

    Recommend me overhead mics

Price range is under 1k for both, prefer more around 750 but i may be able to bend if worth it. Situation is my very well treated basement. Lots of absorbtion, room sounds really good I think, but I don't have much height.

    reamping electrical noise help

well i thought i had solved it by running a TRS-XLR cable (TRS in focusrite line out XLR in on the reamp box) instead of just a TR cable as I had been doing.. But i went back to the TR cable to check and no noise was there. even with pedals. It all definitely has to be on the same circuit, that...

    reamping electrical noise help

yes it is a passive box (radial JCR) with ground lift switched on. I noticed also when I hook ANY pedal into the chain it produces a buzz noise. Getting more confusing.....

    reamping electrical noise help

Yes, and that removes a good chunk of low hum. but there still seems to be noise from the PC in the one circuit, or a slight buzzing in the other.

ANyone use Saffire pro 40s with W7 and PT 10?

Yes i've been doing that since it happened. No dice. I finally got it working by swiping my computer and starting from scratch. It hasn't crashed again yet so I am hopeful it is fixed. This is all thanks to absolutely no help from focusrite tech support. Seriously the worst tech support I have...

Anyone dual mode 2 saffire pro 40s? routing problem...

I got 2 and can record from both into pro tools 10 with no problem. Only problem I have is monitoring. Only the master units 2 headphone outs are working in dual mode. I went through the dual unit steps in the setup guide focusrite has and got them to output sounds, but it was mono left or...
