i have to say Lords of Chaos.. When all is lost would be a VERY close second to my first pick. more like their older stuff. It sounds like they spent a bunch of time on composing that song, rather than just a riff oriented song.

its also a nice little homage to the Blue Oyster Cult too.. im sure other bands have done the same thing :)

tough choice.. don't get me wrong, i love both. although Odyssey i just "got" musically.. and it was my first SX album (that and their self titled, which i also love).. Paradise took me about a month to really get into the album.. the sound, the mixing, etc.Odyssey I can listen whenever...

in all honesty i'd say Twilight is something i would tell a person to get first. i love every song.. altho given the 2 choices i chose V.. it's got some songs that bring back memories. and musically seems a little more diverse song to song. DWOT has maybe 4 standout songs.. V has about 6

as long as the disc itself is legit, packaging shouldn't matter. the record company made money off the original disc made. the first album is pretty good IMO. particularly the last 3 songs.
