I learned the entire album by ear. I got bored after a while and started adding bass soloing everywhere just for kicks.

I actually agree with this. Venom was called Black Metal but they are actually a thrash band if you pay attention to the music. Immortal would be more of a thrash band if they didn't have the horrid vocals.
