I have 52's on my floyd rose tuned a step down. The hard part is getting equal tension or pull on both the springs and the strings. Usually I will block off the tremolo, tune to what I want, set spring tension to where it barely lifts off the block and there you have it. I have 3 heavy springs...

I like it! I dont listen to strat. at all, but to other power metalz, Production wise it sounds good to me. Not a big fan of the same same vox, but he executed it well. Leads sound fantastic, all playing is pretty tite. I like teh keyboards, reminds me of Tony Macalpine type runs and phrasing...

I can think maybe Ducking? I would just automate volume levels for what needs to come down, and not try to boost the solo volumes. Automation in reaper is a cinch.

I like it! Great stuff. The drums are a lil low, mainly the snare. In the beginning where the guitars are solod they are quite edited, then when the drums and bass kick in you can hear the guitar noises where the edited parts were. I would prolly edit those the same as the intro. Everythig else...
