this is just another metallica-album. if the sound was better, you'd complain about them being "polished" once again, if the songs were shorter you'd complain about them being simple, if there was a ballad you'd complain about them being commercial...
this is the perhaps best-selling "extreme"...
well, not all of them. the "marriage..."-stuff gets quite boring, cause the vocals are very monotone...
but the few "perdition city"-parts are really cool
well, actually I find this CD quite, hm, "interesting". somehow you cannot compare it to anything done before. on the other hand I have to admit that there are also some "fillers" on this CD. Less would have been more somehow. it's not far less commercial than I expected and the pop-sounds are...
well, I think ULVER can "cover" themselves if they want, although I don't like this idea...
nevertheless its is the SAME riff, not only a bit similar. perhaps they liked this riff that much that they decided to use it in another version...
