I thought Bruce sounded weak in parts of Dance of Death and to a much lesser extent AMOLAD... Some of the vocal melodies just don't suit his voice anymore, and it's bad to hear him straining =/ It's noticeable in some of the FF songs in a big way... Whereas in others the melodies suit what he is...

Wild Wind my favourite at the moment, nice melodies, and the story flows nicely :)

I like a separate player purely cos of the battery issue. The new phones need so much recharging, esp if you use them as media players. I just always forget to recharge phones etc, so like the separate player. Bought a Sandisk Clip + off ebay recently after old Creative Zen broke down. The...

First listen sounds more like DoD than AMOLAD, but not much hits me first listen... But yeah, high expectations after AMOLAD (thought DoD was ordinary). I'm really hoping on a few more spins things pick up!

It's not their best cover.. and definitely could have been done much, much better, especially when you hear how big the vocals on the new album sound.

One of my favourite bands, but a Twist in the Myth was ordinary, with a few exceptions (though most of the songs have grown on me). There's definitely hints of their older "style" in the new album and yet still stuff that sounds like new BG... Every song has BG written all over it, what hits me...

I wouldn't be surprised if headbanging causes injury, but that article is so poorly written and the research so half-arsed....

Sound of White Noise is very good :) It took a while to grow on me, but to me it's got a really unique atmosphere to the whole album. Stuff I can't get into: Any Opeth album. Katatonia's "The Great Cold Distance".

Was just in Townsville, went to the reef. Beware, it's a bit of a trip to get on the reef (1.5 hours by boat), so if you get motion sickness you might be better off going to Cairns, where there's more trips runnign and shorter travel times to the reef.. I got motion sickness when I went and it...

About 30min drive south is Ballina, which is also really nice, and much less 'hippy-ish'. They also argue they have the most easterly point in Australia, but rather having a lighthouse there from memory it's just a rock platform.... I heard from people who did the Great Ocean Rd recently that...

It was more than strange, it was downright stupid. Poorest coaching selection I've seen from the Dragons in recent years, and there have been plenty. And yeah, it was a debacle, Dragons played poor, Manly ran over the top of em :(
