I was thinking the same thing. I've never heard of the band though... If they write songs about ASoIaF I would shit myself.

I payed like $80 a night at the residence the last three years and then this year they wanted to charge me like $120 and they wouldn't back down.

I went to Nearfest 2003 and had a blast. I was looking forward to going again but the line ups the last 2 years have been TERRIBLE. I would love to see Riverside but I'm not driving out from Detroit for one band. Including 2006 there has been 4 bands I'd have wanted to see in the last 3 years.

I like it a lot but at the end of the day it's just the same old Prog Metal I've seen a thousand times. I think I'm a little burnt out on the genre these days...

All my sources point to GODSMACK as the yet to be annouced band. some people say Tool but that doesn't make a lick of sense. Tool should be doing their own headlining tour and Godsmack is bloody terrible.

If you want to get up on the rail you can do so pretty easily. at worst you will be 2 or 3 rows of people back on the floor. Standing on the rail alllll day is HARD I did it at night 1 of ProgPower V and finally went and had a seat in the middle of Weapons of Mass Destructions set.

I was kinda hoping for A becuase then there was a good chance my friend who I've been trying to get down to Atlanta for a few years would have been there... However, from a completely selfish standpoint D has me much more excited.

Didn't I see something about being on a list now for some sort of even BIGGER show/deal/tour/whatever. Where can we take advantage of that voting system? :)

I don't think anybody is going to complain about that. Miles Beyond is excelent (gotta show some love for the Michigan boys) and Ion Vein isn't bad at all. I've been finding myself in Minnesota a lot lately.. You might see me there.

Last year I believe they went through TicketAlternative or something like that. I thought it was great because Ticketmaster hits you with all the fees and stuff. It's crazy. And I'm sure you can buy as many tickets as you please they just wont let you into the show unless you are 18.
