    Epic Metal????

Definitly look to Battlelore and Draconian when looking for epic sounding releases. Oh and of course Bathory "Hammerheart" and "Twilight Of The Gods".

    Death/Doom?

Who ever would have guessed that Paramecium was a christian band. Also here's a couple of good bands that you could take a shot at Enchanted "Dance The Marble Naked" and early Anathema.

    Death Metal

I have been so disappointed with every Obituary release comming after "Cause Of Death". None of them came close to capturing the brutality of "Slowly We Rot" or the already mentioned "Cause Of Death". "Cause Of Death" was really death metal with class but uncompromising in terms the level of...

    Mayhem Festival '09

Mayhem tour is just another metalcore tour with a few token REAL extreme metal bands thrown in to attract the non hot topic buying teenage fans who think Kill Switch Engage or Lamb Of God are the hardest thing going. I can't stand metalcore and hate about 80% of the stuff labled as deathcore. I...

    Descend Into Nothingness

I don't really see that there is anything wrong with the mdm genre. I mean to the untrained ear there isn't a difference between a death metal band like say.......Hypocrisy (well maybe with the exception of "Osculum Obscenum" or "Penetralia") and a "brutal" death metal band like Disgorge. Now as...

    Descend Into Nothingness

Yeah ummmm I am always willing to check a band out that might be considered promising but to say that this is some of the best melodic death metal you have heard is a drastic over statement. To me it just sounds not more than average and like a dozen other bands out there who are doing the same...

    Death Metal

I have to admit I never listened to "Concealed" but as I am listening To "Fragmentary Evidence" again I am trying to picture female vox as being a part of the album make up. I don't really see how it worked out....or maybe it didn't. Whatever, guess this album goes the same way many others...

    Death Metal

"Fragmentary Evidence" is a good album if you are into the more technical side of death metal. It's brutal as hell for sure killer vocals and just powerful music in general. But like so many other tech death bands alot of their music (guitars, bass lines) just seems so self indulgent at points...

Free black metal - Sorg Uten Tårer

I love black metal and I don't have a problem with the huge amount of one man project bands but come these guys sound very much like a long line of other Norsk black metal bands. Better then some.....not as good as others. Props for posting your stuff though.
