Audix SCX-1c (stereo matched) for sale...

I have this pair of SCX-1's for sale (with cardiod capsules). Had them for about 3 years and love them (great on Oh's and acoustic guitar.) New, I got them for $900 but am willing to let them go for $550. Let me know if any of you guys are interested. Cheers!

    Question for the drummers...

So true. Havent replaced my heads for a while (low on the funds) and I do notice a big difference when I've been playing on heads that are a bit older compared to new heads tuned well. And the new heads hold their tuning a lot longer. Just going to have to bit the bullet and replace my heads...

    Question for the drummers...

Correct. I've really tried to work on my dynamic consistency for a little while now, trying to get my live performance and studio performance close to the same. I think when working on this consistency, you inherently end up working on your timing as well so you kind of hit both at the same time.

    Question for the drummers...

Consistency...we all want it playing live and recording. Aside from taking the time with a click and pad and working on every hit landed close to the same, any other tips or tricks you guys use to help a brotha out? Also, what do you guys do when your damn guitarist is blarring in your ears at...

Drummers: How do hit snare drum in studio?

Hey Gojira, I've been playing for close to 9 years and I've tried numerous sticks and hit the drums numerous ways. I've played "through" the drum before to make myself louder than the other guys in the band, but it killed my hands. The natural vibrations of the stick striking the snare drum...

    Recording Bass

Thanks for the help guys. I had the guitar take to Gary Brawer who's one of the best guitar repair men in the San Francisco Bay Area. He replaced one of the pickups b/c the adhesive holding the pickup in place was leaking onto the pickup and the shielded all the wiring. But i'll take it back to...

    Recording Bass

Hey guys, So my band's in the process of trying to track bass and we're having some issues. We're getting a nasty hum from the bass just going through a Countryman DI box. The ground switched is engaged but we're still getting something. When his active pickup switch is engaged, it hums until...

    CDs vs. Downloads

I love having the physical CD in my hand. It's not only having a hard copy of the material, but having a hard copy of the artwork, the lyrics, reading the liner notes, etc. The downloads definitely helps to reach out to people who live far away in European countries though.

    TC Electronic G major

The guitar player in my band bought the G-System and it wasnt that good at all. There was a big delay in between effect changes and changing channels on the amp. Of course, his Mark IV doenst have MIDI amp switching ability which could have been the reason why there was a delay. Just a heads up...

    anyone using psp plugins?

The Vintage Warmer, for me, is the closest plug-in i can find that replicates the same sound an 1176 generates. Still my favorite on drums and bass!
