Vehement Reverie - New Song Posted! Melodic Death Metal

My one man project Vehement Reverie has just released two tracks. The first is a re-recording of one I released previously(but with horrible production) entitled Floral Excruciation.. The second is a brand new track called The Folly of Modern Gods. The project is melodic death metal. The track...

VEHEMENT REVERIE: Spectral Scars Manifest EP Released

Vehement Reverie is a project I'm working on, which is pretty much a solo project. I wrote all the music, including the drumbeats. I am primarily a bassist, and enlisted the aid of technology and a friend to help with the recording of other elements. The music is primarily melodic death metal...

Xé - Instrumental Progressive Metal from Sweden

I listened a little bit. It's very cool at times, but I'm not so into the atmospheric stuff so some of those slower, ambient parts really made the songs drag for me. Still, it sounds different, not typical of any genres, and that's definitely a plus.

I Came To Kick Ass and Chew Bubble Gum...

Hey, I gave your track a listen. I really liked it at times, but also disliked it at others. The instruments all seem fairly well done, and there are some riffs in there I really enjoyed. Some parts aren't my cup of tea, as I tend to not go for the more mainstream-styles of metal that appear...

    Evisceration Plague

The band Defloration uses some similar techniques, though most of their songs are at a faster pace. I don't have anything if your looking for more of that slow, driving rhythm though.

    what are you reading?

I've just recently shifted gears to non-fiction because I'm going back to school in a month, and need to get my head in the game. So, I'm reading Richard Dawkins "The Greatest Show on Earth". I'm also in the middle of reading Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, but I'm letting that one kind...

    Melodic death Metal

I've been getting into a lot of the old school melodic death(and also melodic black) bands. At The Gates are gods among the genre, but I also feel they are to blame for the genre losing that "mournful" or "melancholy" vibe that the old stuff has. Not too many of the newer melodic death...

    Metal 2013

2013 has been an awesome year so far. I'm not as deep in the underground bands as I used to be, but the new Deeds of Flesh was pretty awesome. I liked that they incorporated more of their older style into the more technical, lead-oriented direction they went in with "Of What's To Come". New...

    Greetings from Florida.

Hello, all. This is Joe from South Florida. People tend to call me Mexi Joe to help differentiate, what with the overabundance of Joe's in the world. I've decided to sign up here because I'm looking to connect with other metalheads both in my area and abroad. I look forward to meeting...
