    From my experience it depends on how technical the music is. For slower stuff quad tracking is nice but for more technical music you're going to get tighter results dual tracking. Last interview I watched with Sneap he said lately he has just been "turning up two".

    Don't understand why you would ever have to edit guitars if you're playing tight and using a noise suppressor.

    Everybody is doing the flat midrange thing these days. Albums these days are cleaner but have no character. I prefer the 90's style.

    Notch a couple db from the 3-4k area and boost a couple db in the higher frequencies.

    A good noise suppressor doesn't degrade tone. Going in and editing guitars is not only a pain in the ass but makes it feel even more artificial in my opinion.

    Of course. If you're playing high gain without a noise suppressor you're doing it wrong.

    Strange that thy are going with a metalcore producer. Rutans productions are top notch.

    Not feeling the guitar tone. The guitar sounds like a bass guitar and the whole mix sound unnaturally scooped in the mids.
