No the FFAK is not Superior...he only uses Superior for their cymbals these days. It's just a blend of different Slate snares, no real ones. I can promise you that considering I did my last record with him and gave him Slate and helped engineer to replace his crappy superior drum and guitar tones.

The snare is just a few different Slate snares blended together.

Yeah defintely no clipping on the next record especially since it's going to be our best and heaviest yet. Not really any "southern" riffs no lol, no one really cares anymore. I've learned that as long as it's good music people don't care what genre/style it is.

We didn't have an impulse loader at the time and I had been using that combination on my demos for that record. The multiband is what made that crappy cab sound good. I don't use the waves cabs anymore lol.

Yes, we did use the lecto but since cab sims were limited for this project we used waves cabs instead of impulses I normally use. Glad you dig the tone!
