I forgot to put Jason Miller from godhead on my list. Great vocalist.

I second that. And if you have Mors Syphilitica playing - you've got great taste in music.

    Symphorce

You know, it's funny because I was about to write about Freedom Call. I am not as into the power/progressive metal scene as a lot of my friends are, so I am still discovering bands. I saw "Live Invasion" yesterday for a good price, and since I liked your work with Symphorce, I checked it out...

    Symphorce

Rock 'n' Rule. I had seen it when I was a kid, and about a year ago Paul "Pellaz" showed it to me again. It's supposed to be released on a DVD loaded with extras in the near future - just no idea when exactly. Oh...and THANKS A LOT! ;)

Grandfathers of Power Metal and Progressive Metal?

ooooh...treading on dangerous ground there ;) To me, Maiden will always be the masters of melodic metal. A band that I think is frequently overlooked when it comes to melodic metal is Stryper. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but I think they had a subtle impact on power metal. Not long ago...

Grandfathers of Power Metal and Progressive Metal?

I personally think that Judas Priest is the most influential heavy metal band of all time, regardless of subgenre. You can hear the roots of speed, power, pop, and prog metal in their albums.

In that case I'll have to find a spot for "Whispers in Rage" on my list ;)

Fan Of Other Music Then Metal....

I think that Basil Pouledouris' soundtrack to "Conan the Barbarian" is one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time.

    Symphorce

Like many of you, I was impressed both by Brainstorm's set as well as their personalities. I was only a little familiar with their music before the show, and knew nothing about Symphorce. After PPV, I saw several people wanting to see Symphorce at PPVI, if for nothing else to slip Andy back in...

    Bounty Hunters after the Bootleggers!

I'll report any bootleggers I see next year just to preserve the coming-and-going privileges.

    Morgana Lefay for ProgPower 6

    Ditto. What a cool band.

Fan Of Other Music Then Metal....

Yeah, Stuck Mojo was one of the few bands that was legitimately rap-metal, as opposed to rap-watered-down-Helmet.
