They're not panned left...(?) I used the iZotope oZone stereo maximizer to "pull out" the vocals a bit in the stereo field, but they're dead center in the pan.

I'm only on my shitty work speakers right now, but I think it could use a lot more bass in the mix. Seems like you've carved out a good area for it in the guitar tone, but it's just not coming through.

Kinda reminds me of video game music. For my tastes, the vocals are a little too dry at the beginning. Maybe add a SMALL amount of delay, or perhaps a hint of reverb. You may also want to bring the vocals back just a bit...IMO they're overwhelming the guitars just a bit. Maybe 1-2db would do...

Well, actually, we were trying to record it as if we were doing it for real....so although we may not end up using it for the album (and it would be a "scratch" take), we didn't rush through it. What parts do you find out of time? Anyone else have any comments?

Hey all - My band, the Lords of the Trident (www.LordsOfTheTrident.com), is working on our new album. We've decided that we'd make one "scratch track" as if we were recording it for real, and submit it to you folks for feedback. We're doing this before sitting down to record the whole album...

I actually like user the stereo expander for vocals....really "pulls them out" to both sides of the speakers, and makes it sound a lot bigger. However, I've found recently that doing that on guitar tracks will give you a phasey sound, so beware on that. I know it's meant for mastering and...

I like it! Sounds good, at least through my speakers at work!

Some of the cleaner vocals sound a little out of place. Maybe try putting some reverb on there (just a tad), or some compression? Unless you're going for REALLY quiet to REALLY loud.
