How to sustain bass drop bomb?

You know, before I'd try to use sine waves(sometimes I'd add distortion to them), pitch shifted kick drums or toms and all sorts of things and they were never beefy enough. I just figured "it sounds like a bomb, lets put in a bomb" and it sounded fantastic. My brother works with sound designers...

Asking Alexandria back in the day

Found some old files on the old family computer and found this: End of Reason - Open Your Eyes Back then they were called End of Reason, until they had to change their name to Asking Alexandria. This is back from 2004-2005 I think. Ben might claim it's a different band now and all of...

    Latest track reamped by lozgreg!

at first I didn't like the tone at all, but eventually I started to like it a lot more, especially the chorus bit(well what I think is the chorus at least). The riff's quite catchy aswell. I dig it.

    When trance music meets metal?

Massive, Reaktor, etc from Native Instruments works great. Nexus is good. If you want a nice lead, check KVR's V-Station. There's LOTS of stuff you can use. Check Glitch or Effectrix for some weird cool effects to play with if you ever want to get into that.

    Micheal Jackson Cover/Remix

They Don't Really Care About Us So I've been working on this MJ cover for a little while, left it around and messed with it some more. I do not have any crash cymbals as I've been building a kit and haven't been able to find some good crash samples, so all I've got so far are china's and a...

Newbie in need of some pointers

ah, I recorded verses, choruses, etc seperately so I could quickly find and edit out the bits I wanted. I've got TONS of tracks in the audio bin, and I've got real crappy internet at the current. Would be a tad bit difficult haha.

ah, but does it not get a bit messy or sloppy sounding? I can see it working with chords and stuff, but with stuff that requires a lot of notes to be played quick and tight, or a solo or something, would you still record 4 tracks then? Anyway, I'm still wondering what others think of this...

10min. epic song (EWQL Symphonic Choir/6505)

great stuff. Don't really dig the snare much, a bit to boxy for my taste, but you probably already know that not many people dig it anyway. Still, this whole thing's been composed really well. Good job my man.

yeah, I realized the kick was a bit loud as I uploaded it, I thought I mentioned it, but I think I forgot. Thanks for the response my man. I've got compressors on there, but I guess I need to play around with it more. I was reading on here about quad guitars and stuff. How does that work? Do...

    ARCH ENEMY

I know!! I cannot get enough of it. I remember when I first got the album, popped it in the car, and it was the only metal album that actually sounded good on my shitty sound system at the time. It was so incredibly clean. Best guitar tone, to me at least.
