    Glenn Danzig & Roy Orbison

They did work together. They did not do a duet, but Glenn wrote a song for Roy called Life Fades Away. It was Roy's last recorded song. You'll find it on the soundtrack for Less Than Zero. Glenn does a song on there called You And Me. Both songs are really good. Slayer also does a good cover of...

    Hot weather music

this is a great thread. I completely agree with what has already been said, though. The rockier bands get more spin time in the summertime. Of course, black metal still gets spun at nights on the drive home from a long day at work. Black metal and fast, brutal death metal like Myrkskog, Origin...

Anyone hear heard Ulver's "Themes from William Blake's..."?

I ordered Perdition City from theendrecords.com on Monday, along with Amorphis' Am Universum. They should be in the mailbox when I get home from work today. Also, I noticed that they just re-stocked all the Opeth cd's that they were out of last week.

    Opeth live pics

Go to the Rock-n-Roll Romper Room and you'll easily find a forum category called Death/Speed Metal & Gothic. It's not a metal website, but more of general discussion forum. Join it if you want. It's free, and it's got some Opeth, among other good stuff. The live pics are at...

Perdition City vs. The Sham Mirrors

Thanks, you guys kick ass. I've mostly been a lurker here for the past couple years, and I find that the people who post here know what they're talking about for the most part. I'll be getting Perdition City on my next order.

Perdition City vs. The Sham Mirrors

Which do you like better? I have the Sham Mirrors, and I like it a lot, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's the best album of 2002 by any means. I've never heard Perdition City, but I know some of you have both, and I was hoping to get some comparison before buying some CD's this month.

    Anybody know about this?

exactly. Glenn loves black metal and wants to make sure that North America gets plenty of exposure to it. Glenn himself has mentioned lots of admiration for Immortal, Marduk, Darkthrone, Cradle Of Filth, Emperor, and others that I can't think of at the moment. The tour is going to consist of...

if opeth is NOT your favourate band... what is?

The only band I like better than Opeth is Danzig. I've listened to Glenn Danzig's music for almost 15 years now. However I often wonder if someone were to introduce me to Opeth and Danzig for the first time, right now, what band would be my favorite. I'm pretty sure it'd be Opeth.
