This is a mix I've been working on for a long time now,
Vocals not recoded to my satisfaction yet (growls and clean)
UN-mastered, gonna send it to Jamie King (BTBAM,Scale the summit)
Any advice?
yes EQ. but u should also EQ everything else :)
honestly it sounds really cool :)
just there is one keyboard sound that is really messy.
On the begining. notice how audible and great the guitars sound when its not there.
what kinda amp did u use?
U have a section on which the rythm guitars play...
cool :)
usually in those kind of stuff you would find drums with "less metal" sound.
bass drum doesnt need to be that clicky in my opinion.
I would cut the 2.5k on the lead. make it smother. maybe the rythm as well, go easy on the treble knob.
the ride cymbal seems more distant then rest of...
drums need editing... bass drum does a wired job... maybe re-program it.
cut the guitars lower, make room for the Bass.
sharpen the Bass, extra distortion might help.
and I think your mastering is not really good. try to upload un-mastered
hope that helps
Nice :)
Your Mix is very well balanced. GoodJob :)
oh, dont worry about the automations, U are the only one in the world who could tell the difference any way so forget about it.
sound great ! :)
but I would lay back on those basses. I feel the bass is over powering me, espacially from guitars and bass. I would also bring the symphonic instruments more foward. but overall this is my taste, and this sound really good. nice job :D
sound-wise, this is pretty good, although the lack of editing is really noticable in the drums... they are very off :/
either way, the sound, for black metal is good. but one draw back is the horns, didnt like that effect.
maybe you should replace the snare... I found it not so good also, I've got some yamaha mushashi oak snare samples that sounds great, somthing like that will be cool I think. let me know if you'd like me to share
