    My current mix

Hey Heabow, it's pretty good so far. Some things to consider: 1. Vocals need some de-essing or volume automation. ''s'' and ''t'' stick out too much. 2. You can really hear that compressor working on her vocals. That can be a taste thing, but in my opinion it fit the song better if there was...

nice mix, I'd bring up the guitars a bit to make it more powerful, vocals and drums are very dominant here. Nice effects by the way. Good work!

Mixing/Mastering EP/Album in one session or multiple?

Mixing: I do every song in its own session. If I want the same settings on another song (for example the drum sound) I import session data (ProTools) and see/hear if it works. Most of the time there is some tweaking to do because the song is different. That's one of the reasons why I don't...

From mixing Metal to mixing Folk/Pop TIPS?

start with mixing the vocals. If you feel they have a nice room, delay and sound smooth when soloed, bring up the rest of the tracks (I'd start with drums and bass here). This way you'll realize very quickly if the upcoming elements are to ''heavy-mixed'' or if they glue well with the vocals...

    Reamping with fx pedals?

maybe you can record the clean DI first, than edit it and finally reamp it with all the pedals. This way the delay for example would be in time due to the editing. And if something goes wrong or is unsatisfying, you always have the clean DI to use with ITB FX.
