So happy with the choice of vocalists on this one. The return of Simen is a great thing.

I voted Havoc. From start to finish it's the most solid song (others have nice high points but can get tedious around those high points). My Domain is also quite good but a little too repetetive. Loci has a great atmosphere but it's too short for me to consider it the best, nice as an album...

I believe that solo was Jens because I remember him saying that he was pretty happy about a review saying the solo was well done. But it could have been Oystein, not 100% sure.

And was written many many years ago before this album was even conceived.

I like them all but Inner Landscape and White have been the strongest ones if you ask me. Great tracks, with White being one of the main highlights on the entire album that it's featured on. I wasn't aware that he wrote that one too, but it does bear many trademarks of his style. Good stuff.

I think he meant in general style - My Domain has a lot of similar compositional elements as Ocean's Rise and Colossus, not to mention they all share soaring vocal lines by ICS Vortex. The track could just as easily fit on TAC or Quintessence, and according to the digipack booklet was indeed...

Haha I was celebrating my birthday last night and had a ton of people over then went out to a club, I was wearing that Ragnarok-logo-pendant that comes with the box set and people were so intrigued and asking about it all night haha. Made a nice accessory. Perhaps the extra goodies are useful...

In my honest and humble opinion, I think the album ends much better with "Loci" than with the end of "My Domain" alone. Loci reminds me of some classic Borknagar magic while being absolutely fresh and new at the same time, and carries a real feel of finality while carrying us out of the musical...

I actually didn't find this to be the case on this album, which I now finally have - there was just as much frequency of these clean, soft moments and keyboard/synth orchestration on Epic (for one), but I find that the quality of the composition of these parts has actually downgraded since Epic...

Unfortunate. Really unfortunate. I read some people here think those two tracks are just as good as the others on the album. BOX SET IT IS. :p

Which editions of the album contain the two bonus tracks? Is it just the box set, or also the Digipak-only edition? Thanks in advance, I know I've already asked this question elsewhere but received no answer and want to pre-order ASAP :grin:

There's no way I'll buy this album without the 2 extra tracks, and it's a pity they didn't decide to include the extra tracks in any other bundles.
