Melodic Metal - pre-production for single

Thanks for the input! I did say that this is only the pre pro for the single and drums will be recorded properly when we do it in January. The Chango samples that were used for this have NO dynamics whatsoever anyway haha Thanks also for the input in the genre also, we have always just...

Melodic Metal - pre-production for single

I do like my vocal to be "pop" loud haha, maybe they are a tad too loud though. Is it with the screaming or the singing with the bad frequencies? Is it all the way through, or just certain sections? Bass is quite reasonably loud in the mix, for my stuff anyway, but I can and will revise...

new mix from london based band

yo guys, spent a day with this band last week. Recorded EVERYTHING in 8 hours, was quite a push to say the least, so all editing was done the next day before I started mixing. You'll all hear the one stutter I wanna take out, but the band like it. Think I went a bit overboard on the...

Considering the switch to Pro Tools 9

Maybe grab a new Firewire Hard Drive, 7,200 rpm MINIMUM and try running your sessions from that. I have ALWAYS had separate hard drives for recording and system software.

STEMS. POST-HARDCORE. how many of you would mix it if i posted?!

Really liking this man, snare could be a tad punchier IMO, and more click to the kick (personal preference) Love the guitars though man!

STEMS. POST-HARDCORE. how many of you would mix it if i posted?!

I firstly imported the drum midi file, then everything else in one go (into Pro Tools) Listened to the sample mix, lined up the guitar to the correct point when the drums start, moved the vocal into place, everything sounds fine until there is the synthy section with vocals ... drums and...

STEMS. POST-HARDCORE. how many of you would mix it if i posted?!

STEMS. POST-HARDCORE. how many of you would mix it if i posted?!

Are you sure this is the correct bar for the tempo change ...? it would be much easier if you bounced everything starting at bar 1 beat 1 so that everything lines up exactly how you intended ...
