This guy right here is on the mark. A lot of the pristine, shiny new vinyl leaves me a bit cold. I guess a lot of the time who's to know but certainly it makes sense to reproduce analog audio on corresponding equipment. The majority of new LPs are essentially just over sized CDs with gimmicks...

Certainly the last 2 albums haven't had any riffs that go straight for the neck like Increase, or as memorable as any other track from TGCD. Both recent albums are far too fluffy and anemic, and not anemic in the way Discouraged Ones pulled off so effortlessly well.

Saw Gorguts last week. Was fucking amazing, never been to such an insane metal show, was headbanging like a nutter the entire time they were on. Got a sick t shirt and chatted to Luc Lemay for a bit, and he's a killer dude. The local support bands weren't shit either so thats another bonus.

DS9 is the best imo. Best story arcs and some of the best characters, especially season 4 onwards. Its just a shame they kindof flaked and the finale isn't what it could have been imo. TNG is the other essential series for me. VOY has some great episodes but as a whole, not as good. I still...
