I would love to see Opeth and Tool share a stage, regardless of who opened for who. I hope this tour can happen in the future, maybe now is just not the right time for whatever reasons (promoters, money, travel logistics - who knows?).

I saw them play this version in Knoxville, TN. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing a riff from Hendrix's "Third Stone From the Sun" during the jam.

I've learned rhythms in belly dance class that I recognize in Opeth's music. For example, I hear the Saidi (from Egypt) "dom-tak, dom-dom tak" rhythm in Bleak.

Just a heads up for anyone going to the show in Knoxville May 22nd. You may want to go ahead and book your hotel now. There is a large international competition (Destination Imagination) being hosted there that weekend. Most of the hotels downtown are already full. Got my tix, can't wait!

does anyone happen to know if there is a possibility of more dates being added? i'm planning to get tix at a venue 6 hours away, but if i would be better off waiting i will. thanks! btw - my 1st post, very pleased to meet you all!
