Truth be told I bought it solely for the DVD, all the tracks on the C.D's I already have, & to release two collection box sets consequtively is a bit of a piss take!!
It's not a bad dvd by an stretch but it has a kind of unfinished air to it. I reckon its going to take a long time for the Opeth dvd to get knocked off my top spot!!
I like the use of the "v" in place of "u."
It must be used sparingly I reckon though, even in times when v & u were synonimous they were randomly interchanged.
Original post has a good destitute aura!!
An entire album of covers would be horrible. Its generally nice to hear a band pull out a surprise cover at a gig, but an entire album would bore the life out of me!!
There are certain bands I will never download, chief among which are Katatonia & Opeth. As said above, the package is what it's about and I hate cheating great musicians out of money. Simple as that
I remember when I first started listening to classical in my teens, Adagio was onre of my faves. It's an astoundingly emotive piece of music. It definiately illustrates the ethereal nature of drawing out emotion through music.
It's a pity that Katatonia aren't using their current logo, it's a good piece of design. But I can see how the minimal text fits the new artwork.
Itching to buy this one.
