I'll be curious to hear how you fix that. I had the same problem and making the pick clip looser around my thumb helped a lot. It actually helped the pick angle too. After doing that, it feels much more natural, and still stays in place.

Yep! Having never used a thumb pick before, it's really taking some getting used to. My picking technique is poor to begin with, as I tend to dig in a little too much sometimes, esp with chords and artificial harmonics. So, where I'm (somewhat) able to get away with it without the clip...

How's the glued pick working out for you? I've been thinking about doing that, but haven't gotten around to it. I feel like the pick would never be in the right place. I think I've figured out a way to "temporarily" fix a pick to cut off thumbpick to get the placement just right before...

This may not be totally exact, I haven't seen the specs posted, but it seems about 3/4" thick at the 1st fret, and about 7/8" thick at the 12th fret. That's eyeballed with a ruler. So....
