If you mic at semi-low volume, try placing the mic a bit further away from the amp, like 1 foot. Might make the sound fuller and less harsh/fizzy. Was actually wowed the first time I tried this trick. Might also be that your amp naturally has a lot of fizz. I'd still say that the most important...

I agree the bass doesn't really blend into the mix that well. Think there's something a bit wrong with the levels, can't really pinpoint what though. Guitar tad too loud maybe? Sounds sweet apart from that!

Never had any problems with the FR in my jackson, and it's only a licensed one. I guess there's lots of lemons among the licensed FR's though, maybe yours is one of the bad ones? Or is it an OFR?

Needs more low-end, sounds pretty thin as it is now. The kick also sounds a bit slappy and measly, might wanna fatten it up a bit somehow (maybe add some EQ at 60 Hz? I dunno). The same goes for the snare too, needs a bit more beef imo. Maybe some EQ at 150-200 might help. Otherwise it sounds...

I have a feeling they both lack in the low-end department, I think that's a pretty common issue with low wattage amps. At least my HT-5 has nowhere enough low-end for my needs, I can't say that it's a ballsy amp really. I bet you could get some sweet tones out of both of those amps though...

Love the sounds, always liked krank tones. Awesome snare and kick too, are those slate samples? Mix is smooth and full, can't find any complaints really. Good job.

I think the mix gets a bit crowded, during the fast parts especially. Also to me it sounds like the snare gets a bit lost in the mix from time to time. Maybe less/automated verb on the snare? I don't think the drums sound like suffo that much though, or, not more than you'd expect from this...

I don't think it's killed with compression tbh. But the mix could still do with some work, sounds a bit dull ATM. The kick is too boomy, cymbals are too loud and the snare needs to come up a bit. Nor sure if I like the guitars either, they sound a bit unfocused and muddy, under-gained also...

Honestly, get rid of your bassist, those bass lines are pretty rubbish (unless they were made up and recorded on spot). Poorly played with some really odd patterns and note choices that don't even fit with the riffs most of the time. Or the bass might be severely out of tune. No offence though...
