Pete Morten

Pete was born in Birmingham, England. He currently lives in Lincolnshire.

He sang in both the school and church choir as a child and had his first guitar when he was just 8 years old. He didn’t commit to playing it properly though, until he was 18. Save for a years vocal coaching in 2006, Pete’s had no formal music training.

Pete has proved to be quite a prolific artist in his own right, outside of My Soliloquy. Between 2007and 2017 he was a member of UK Prog veterans, Threshold. As well as touring extensively with them, he also became a contributing song writer and recorded two studio albums, 'March Of Progress' and 'For The Journey' and one live album 'European Journey' with the band.

He also fronts and writes for, UK band Nightmare World. He continues to tour with the group and has made two studio recordings with them, the E.P. 'No Regrets' and the full length debut 'In The Fullness Of Time'. They are currently writing a follow up to their first album.

Between 2007-2012 Pete also sang for Midland's Outfit Metalloid and played over 40 shows with them. Sadly, no studio or live recording was ever made.

Between 2009 and 2010 he was also the stand-in vocalist for UK band Power Quest.

Pete has also guested on two other releases. He recorded extensive backing vocals on Clive Nolan's 'She' album by Caarmora, and also replaced the female vocal parts for two songs on Neverbornes 2009 E.P. 'In Abscence Of Fear'.

Having had numerous offers to work with other artists from the UK, America, Italy and Holland, as of 2017, he's just focusing on My Soliloquy and Nightmare World. He's not considering working with
any other artist at this time.
