my guitar tone seems thin and unclear. should i put more money into it or just buy a better guitar? it's a sterling music mann jp-50 with dimarzio crunchlab and liquifire pups. thanks for any help.
opinions please, i have a randall t2 head going into a 4x12 warhead cab with vintage 30's. will i get the best tone from micing the cab or by using the randall t2's preamp with redwirez cab impulses?
thanks
i'm trying to get a decent dry tone to send to someone for reamping. what would give me better results, a saffire pro 14 with no di box or a really good di box going into my pod gx or any other suggestions. i only have about $250 to spend.
yo c-martin thank you. your post is the kind i was hoping to get not just a re-record comment with no tips or anything else to go by. do you not see the difference between your post and supermans? i'll start checking out the links you posted.
dude re-recording wouldn't do nothing since i don't know how to record in the first place. i would imagine it would sound similar to what i recorded to begin with unless i know what to do differently.
i think that maybe i'm just not feeling the 7 string thang. i spent about a minute writing this on my 6 string esp and it sounds WAYYY better than any of my 7 string recordings.

thats my main beef. the guitars sound really muddy. really don't know much about eq but i cut the high frequencies to get rid of the hiss. could it be that i cut too much? could you tell me what high passing them is? i use reaper and ozone 4.
i haven't been home recording for very long and could use some suggestions. on this recording i used podfarm with different cab impulses. drums are ezdrummer.
