    The latest Lord-Alge mix

Jesus! You know there is more to music than just metal. Keep listening to the album until you get to like it. Just keep in mind that it's a freakin masterpiece. Also listen to David Bowie, The Stooges and Velvet Underground.

10 year old pro tools project to open

I found a local copy of the project, the songs had this structure: /Song1/Audio Files/[a bunch of .sd2 files] /Song1/Fade Files/[a bunch of .sd2 files] /Song1/Song1 [file no extension] I just want to extract the tracks and mix on different daw.

I don't know if this could be a hint but if I remember correctly (I don't have the cds with me atm) the project files had no extension.

10 year old pro tools project to open

I am not a pro tools owner. I have a pro tools project/ demo of my old band and I was thinking it might be interesting to try to remix it. The version of pro tools that this demo was recorded with must be a 1999/2000 one. Would you happen to know if recent pro tools versions are backwards...

mp3 player that hides file paths

I have used with search function with no joy regarding some mp3 player to install to my server for certain people to preview tracks. The mp3s must be hidden, to prohibit downloads. Cheers.

Is it a good idea to reamp keyboards?

The term "reamping keyboards" is totally Beavis and Butt-head like, you can't dumb it down any further. And yes you should always record in midi, people have been doing that since the mid 80s.

Let's talk about LABELS. I'm researching for my own bands and need advice!

Unless you are Iron Maiden you are going to make zero cd sales. The only thing a label has to offer you nowadays is to put you in the bill of a tour. The new (post 2000) record contracts are all about that, and the label takes a cut off the ticket sales. If you're not interested in touring...

Should we make this forum more about Andy and production?

In my opinion the "Production Tips" area should be moved into the main forum (where this thread is) and not be a separate entity. That's the only way to save this place. Anything way off topic should be deleted. Anyone posting bullshit should be banned.

Production: Dimefest III, samples inside (PanterA)

It sounds better than most Pantera live recordings. Good job!

    New Attack Attack album

Great we lose a pro because of this useless kid (with a *great colourful personality*). Awesome. This forum HAS turned to HCAF.

    New Attack Attack album

GarethSE, you're turning the Andy Sneap forum into HCAF. You're an internet bully and your little tough guy schtick is running thin. Joey's contribution to this forum is enormous; all you have is an enormous post count (in HCAF fashion). You've crossed the line here. I'm a pro and I take offense...

Pestilence - Resurrection Macabre guitar sound questions?

    1. Check the cd notes on who recorded the album, surely you must have bought this! 2. You are a professional mixer and you don't know Jacob Hansen? Only one of the top engineers/mixers in metal atm.
